Juniper has been a super trooper traveler. She met and loved all her cousins this past week and spent lots of quality time with her aunts and uncles and grandparents. Sorry to all those who didn't get a chance to hold her. We have a very small... almost non-existent... network of people in California. She has only had one person visit her twice, not including the family that visited from Nebraska. We take her out all the time, but don't exactly ask strangers at the grocery store or the park to hold her, so we didn't want her being passed around like a hot potato to fifty people all in one day. She looks forward to being a little older when she can be passed around a little more easily and have time with everyone!! She is really starting to slobber and blow bubbles on her lips. She is LOVING only having to wear her harness twelve hours a day. She is becoming more and more playful and talkative as each day passes. In the picnic picture she is in her Baby Bjorn with Daddy under a pillow case to shield her from the sun. :) I know there are SO many good pictures out there of her from this week, but they are all on other people's cameras, so these are the best we have from our camera.

12 (TWELVE?!?!?!??!!!!!!) Weeks
Juniper had a BIG and BUSY week! On Tuesday she had her appointment with the orthopedist and found out her hip is in place! Yay! So, to ensure a positive outcome, she will be in her harness 12 hours/day for the next 4 weeks and then have another check up. Leaving from the Children's Hosiptal parking lot late Tuesday afternoon, we set out on our road trip for Minnesota for our friend Erin's wedding. It was a few long days, but we made it by lunch time on Friday. She loved sleeping in the California King bed with Mommy and Daddy at the hotel. She would turn her head back and forth and just look from Mommy to Daddy to Mommy to Daddy and smile SO big! Once the fun wedding weekend was over we traveled back to Nebraska to spend the week here with our family. Juniper is very excited that she will get to meet all of her cousins who have come from Okinawa, Florida, and Nebraska all in the same week!!

11 weeks
Juniper fills our day with her smiles and is now fascinated with her hands and loves to use her toes to grab things on the changing table. After giving up dairy for a few weeks now, we are pretty sure she does in fact have a dairy allergy. Mommy is adjusting to eating without dairy; some days are definitely easier than others. We have our next appointment tomorrow to get her hip ultrasound and follow up with the orthopedist again.

10 weeks
Over the last couple of weeks Juniper started sleeping a little more in the night which is helping Mommy out a ton! Starting around midnight she will sleep from 4-5 hours straight. Yay! It was a calm week with nice weather so we took lots of walks. Juni is really becoming aware of all her surroundings. While holding her, Zach was pointing out different things and she would follow his point and listen to every word he said in explanation. Daddy and Kristina surprised Mommy when Kristina arrived on Saturday to visit with us for a few days. Daddy's 1st Father's Day was lots of fun! We went up to Sonoma and sat outside the whole afternoon. We practiced changing diapers in the trunk for our upcoming road trip back to Nebraska. Then, on the way back home, we ate dinner at the diner across the street from Pixar. It was just what Daddy wanted!

9 weeks
We finally received our washer and dryer this week! Hooray! Juni has been adjusting well to her cloth diapers and we are so thankful to finally be able to do laundry whenever we want. She is sleeping a little better at night and absolutely loves bath time when she gets to take her harness off and kick her legs all around!!

8 weeks
After wearing her harness for a week and a half now, Juniper has adjusted to having it on all the time. There are times it frustrates her, but she is sleeping in her crib again. After having her reflux medicine increased a second time she is doing much much better. She is more alert every day and loves watching her mommy and daddy talk and move around the room. She has new expressions every day that we'll hopefully catch on camera soon!
