It's a...........
GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Zach and I had our appointment this morning. We found out that our thoughts and dreams really were true all along; our baby is indeed a girl! As many of you know, Zach and I have thought the baby was a girl since the 8th week or so, we were just waiting for the doctor to confirm it. We wouldn't have been that shocked if we were wrong, but it was a peaceful feeling when the doctor did confirm our thoughts.
The sonogram technician went through all the other measurements of the heart, lungs, brain, lips, and every other body part and everything appears to be normal. She is growing well and everything is right on track.

Pretty sure pregnancy horomones are raging today. I just got a cold sore, have a migraine, and have been unpredictably crying all day... even sometimes while laughing. Ugh. What a day off this has been ;)
On a brighter note, I really feel like the holiday season is here. Zach's work xmas party was last weekend and mine is this weekend, then his birthday, then Christmas!! Yay! We have been able to share with pretty much everyone now that we are expecting a little baby come May. I'm surprised at how excited some people are!! It is fun to share with people that get so excited with us. Zach told quite of few of his work people last weekend at the party. I wish we could have told more people in person. It is so fun to see people smile so big when they find out.
I feel like Dec 17th (ultrasound day) is taking forever to get here!! We are both so excited to find out!! The last time we had an ultrasound was 2 months ago, so I am so so excited to see how much the baby has grown on the inside, especially knowing how much my body has grown on the outside! 8 more days!

19 weeks, another appointment
Time just keeps flying by! I can't believe we already had another Drs appointment today. Still no ultrasound until the 17th... eek! Can't wait!!
Everything was great today. The doctor listened to the heartbeat again and said, "Sounds perfect!" Doesn't she know my baby IS perfect ;) I'm so lucky that we have such a great doctor. Every appointment is on time, easy, and comfortable. I wish all doctors could be like her. Last month I didn't have a single question for her, but I think I had 10 tonight. Of course her response to everything is to tell me everything is normal.... I'm thankful for that :)
I felt the baby for the first time on Thanksgiving morning and just a few flutters here and there since. I'm sure before I know it I'll be feeling a lot more than I want to. Zach is getting excited to feel the baby too. I wish there was a way I could help out with that, but I guess he'll just have to wait.
We took a new picture to post tonight with this update. As you can see from the grid on the door behind my, my belly doesn't look that much bigger, but it has gotten rounder. I can tell I/baby/we have grown more in the last couple of weeks from the way my clothes are fitting, and I feel like my belly button is stretching out, but I know I still have A LOT of growing still to do!
Wish we were closer to all of you, but know that we are as happy as happy can be. We are quite ridiculous and are absolutely enjoying every minute of this journey!

4 Month check up
We went to our 4 month appointment yesterday. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat again. It almost sounds like a washing machine :) I told Zach, now that my belly is really starting to grow we need to be taking pictures. Fingers crossed, I'll get one posted by the end of the week.
All blood tests and measurement tests came back "normal" for me and baby. Our appointment was less than 20 minutes long. They gave us the form to register for the hospital! It still seems so far away, but I know it will be here in the blink of an eye.
Last weekend Zach and I went shopping at a baby store on the island. There were so many pregnant ladies, all glowing and exhausted at the same time. I bought a pregnancy pillow to help me sleep on my left side. Zach had been sleeping with his head at the foot of the bed because he said I had been breathing so heavy while sleeping the last few weeks. But, ever since I've been sleeping with the pillow he says I am back to the quiet sleeper I was, so I think the pillow is making sleeping a lot easier on baby and I!
If they would have done an ultrasound yesterday they might have been able to see the sex of the baby, so Zach and I were hoping they would do one, but they didn't. We'll have to wait until next month!

12 1/2 weeks
Today we had our 3rd ultrasound. I'm 12 1/2 weeks pregnant and everything so far looks good! On the screen today we could see the baby's mouth moving and the baby jumping around. It was so fun to see the baby move and to hear the heartbeat. It is crazy to see a baby only a few inches big has all these working parts. Every appointment gets more and more exciting to see how much our baby has grown and what the baby is doing now.
I don't have a baby bump yet, but as my belly grows I'll post pictures on here so you can all see :)
