28 weeks, 29 weeks, family vacation

She's been flipping herself all around here, there, and everywhere. I'm not completely sure her eyes are done changing, but I love how each of the four of us have a very different eye color.
 I love this sassy girl!

Juni got to watch a movie at Papa's desk and she felt SO special!!

Papa is being told more and more how much Genevieve looks just like him!
 Look at me Mama!
 6 month check-up
height 28 inches, 98th percentile
weight 15 pounds 2 ounces, 29th percentile
this tall little lady is growing strong and doing so well!
 Look, Mama, I'm a flower!

We left on a mini family vacation Mon-Fri last week to see Zach's best man Steve, his wife Shauna and their 3 year old twins, Andrew and Sophia, who are just 8 weeks older than Juni. So, this morning, I was awake since 2:45, Genevieve woke up at 4:45, and we had to wake up Juni at 5 in order to get to the San Francisco airport in time for our flight. It was a journey from here, to parking, on the shuttle, to check in, but we made it! And this girl was as happy as could be to be waking up well before dawn!
28 weeks and cheerful as ever!
She still doesn't like tummy time/scooting when she isn't on carpet so she doesn't do much of it at home, but she was reaching and scooting all over the place to get what she wanted while at Steve and Shauna's.
Kobe. Such a gentle dog. The girls were in love with him.
Juni was SO excited about the race car cart at Whole Foods!!
Relaxing out by the pool :)
These kids were wiped out! And enjoying a movie together before bedtime!
We had all spent some time as a family in the pool and then Genevieve was wipe out! So, she hung out in the carrier to take a nap while Juni and Papa built a great sand castle!
And then Juni watched the tide roll in while Papa swam out into the waves.
Giant red snail. Juni loves. Of course :)
 Playing ghosts with Andrew.
"Best" picture of the four kids together :)
Juni saying goodbye to Kobe. She was SO SO SO sad and even told us on the way to the airport that she was so sad she forgot to give him a kiss!
 Headed home.

 Noodles!
Heartbroken that we couldn't do something? Go outside maybe?
After explaining that we would do what she asked soon, just not at that very minute :)
 Genevieve chewing away!

 my silly goose!
 rockin' the side pony!!

 big girl at 29 weeks!!
As you may have noticed, she's sitting up so well by herself now. At her six month check up the Dr commented on how strong and stable she was. Her personality is coming out more and more. She gets SO frustrated when she can't have something she wants.... my food at dinner, the laptop or phone, Juni's attention :) and she'll grunt loudly until we can help her or she gets it herself :) :) :)
Juni sitting in Genevieve's new toy box... but not wanting to smile for the picture :) :) :)

Sunday morning we did feel the 6.0 earthquake pretty strong. It was the strongest one we've felt since moving here. We don't have any damage and we are all more than okay. Juni slept right through it, but the rest of us woke up. Our old neighbor in Vallejo posted pictures of all the damage in her home. Drawers fell out onto the floor, vases fell off of tables and shattered, book cases emptied onto the floor, etc. She also works for a winery and their barrel room and their wine etc. also encountered A LOT of damage as did downtown Napa, etc. It is crazy to think how different I would have felt being near the epicenter, on the bottom level of an old, old house, with a whole other level on top of us. At our house now it was like the bed was rocking good for a minute and then it stopped. There, everything would have been falling down around us and I would have been afraid of the house collapsing on the girls. Vallejo felt two 4.0 aftershocks this morning and their chimneys, etc. continue to crumble. Our neighbor is feeling so on edge and I can't help but be thankful, once again, that we are back in Alameda. Not that we couldn't have an earthquake here at any moment, but I'm glad we missed the dangerous part of this one.

27 weeks

After an awful day at work and our "free juice giveaway" I got to come home and snuggle this little nugget :)
Someone always gets squished when the 3 girls try to sit together
Juni enjoying her special pink bath from Grandma
Juni decided she would share her Gyffy toy and Genevieve was fascinated!
Juicy appreciating the attention of Genevieve. Genevieve adores Juicy and would follow her around if she could.... which will happen soon enough, I'm sure.
Juni and I were able to go meet her friend at the park while Papa stayed home with Genevieve. I forgot how easy it was to have one child. And it was REALLY nice to just spend some time with her without having to ask to her wait while I took care of 17 other things. We had FUN!
Hi, Mama! I like this rattle! It feels good on my teeth!

 chewing and chewing and chewing
Juni has been such a help in trying to comfort her sister through the rough days
Juni explained to me that she was trying to calm Gyffy down, but Gyffy wanted picked up and put down again and again and she couldn't figure out how to make her calm. After her nap this day she came out, got down on her hands and knees to talk to Gyffy and ask her if she was feeling calm, and thank goodness, she was, so they sat together on the couch :) She then decided she would name her Sophie, like the baby chew toy giraffe Sophie :) And Lua's Mama, Sophie.

 I love Juni's expression :)

!
 27 weeks!
Her second tooth (bottom right) came in on Tuesday, two days after her first tooth. She had a rough day, but not as rough as I'd expect, honestly. She's been sleeping a little better since, but still quite needy and wanting to be held all the time throughout the day. She's loving any interaction SO, SO much. Papa and I both heard her say Papa this week and she's been pointing at some things.
hahaha I love Juni's face :) :) :) Her expressions these days are killing me!
