27 weeks

Juniper is SIX months old!!

We aren't over the tummy troubles yet, but we are much closer than we were last week! It amazes me how long the particles stay in my body and transfer into my breast milk. I wish it would hurry up and leave already! Juni is getting some sleep, but still isn't anywhere near back to her normal patterns yet. I'm sure her pattern will be completely different by the time she gets back to it, but she is still waking up and crying out from the gas and tummy pains. It puts me right back at the place where I am afraid to eat anything, but I'm doing my best to just keep checking labels, and eating as much fresh food as possible to lessen the risk of contamination from "safe" boxed and packaged products.

Juniper discovered she likes the taste of paper last week and rediscovered it again this week. She found  Daddy's work papers last week and a piece of cardboard packaging this week and took a bite out of each. I think she would eat it all if we didn't stop her. She has also discovered cars. When we take her outside she loves to watch them zoom down the street. She follows each one, side to side, so intently. She is getting better and better at sitting up on her own. Yesterday she sat on her play mat the whole time I made my breakfast and ate. She did wobble a little, but she reached out for her toys and stabilized herself.

There were just too many cute pictures this week :) I couldn't narrow it down any more!

26 weeks

This week has been sad. Mommy bought a new box of crackers and a new box of granola bars for herself at Target that were supposed to safe, but something in them wasn't, even though the labels said they were okay. Juniper is so sensitive that even food made on the same line as unsafe products will make her sick. Mommy is now pretty much convinced that anything in a box is bad. So, it has been a rough week for Juniper with trouble sleeping, tummy pains, lots of gas, lots of bad poo poo, and a sore bottom. However, she is a trooper and is getting through it.

She has started blowing lots of bubbles this week and spent lots of time rolling around. She loves to caress Mommy and Daddy's faces and baby kiss our cheeks. She is so aware of her world and her Mommy and Daddy. She gets so excited when she has been with one of us for the day and then the other will come home from work. She just lights up and is so happy to have us both by her side.

Although Juni has enjoyed chewing on her toes over the last few weeks, this week she can't seem to stop. In the bath, in her swing, laying on the floor, sitting on our laps, she just wants to get her toes into her mouth. She is beginning to have longer and more dynamic conversations and is expanding her range of tones and sounds every day. Daddy and Mommy both had moments this week where they saw the other person holding Juni and couldn't believe how tall Juni was. We still imagine her to be this itty bitty 8 week old baby. The last 6 months have flashed before our eyes.

24 weeks 12 pounds 6 ounces

Juni had a pretty calm week. She had trouble getting back to sleep after her night feeding, but other than that things were pretty calm. She continues to get excited when she sees new people and loves to smile at everyone, but she definitely knows who Mommy and Daddy are and likes them to stay close. We went for lots of walks this week and went shopping at some new stores and found some little girl clothes for next year on clearance. The weather has been quite warm here the last week, so have all been enjoying the sunshine.

23 weeks

This week Juniper has taken every opportunity she could to explore our faces. She loves to grab at our eyes, nose, and lips and run her fingers over them softly and pull at our lips to see how far they will stretch. Most of the time she is as gentle as can be but every once in a while she'll take it up a notch. Her stomach/digestion is as healthy as it has ever been and we are so thankful for that each and every day. We have moved her 3 month size clothes into storage and the 6 month size are fitting her perfectly right now. It seems as if her feet have doubled in size this last month, but I'm sure they haven't really grown THAT much :)

22 weeks

Juniper did so many things this week that made Mommy and Daddy realize just how fast she is growing up. She rolled from her tummy to her back twice in a row. She is holding herself up on her arms for longer and longer during tummy time. She took her first shower and loved the water spraying down on her. She rode in the big girl stroller (without the carseat). She went for walks in the Baby Bjorn facing out and took every little thing around her in with amazement. She has started to enjoy playing with her baby doll. And, she has learned how to pinch! :)

21 weeks

Juniper had another great week. She has a day or two where she slept A LOT and a day or two where she was awake and ate and ate and ate. She has started reaching for Juicy. She loves how soft Juicy is, but Juicy isn't too sure about it. Juicy will come up to Juniper and is always friendly, but isn't quite ready for Juni to reach at her yet. She is really enjoying her days of playing and talking and is giggling more every day.
