3 YEARS!!!/10 weeks

It was a busy week around here with Juniper's actual birthday and her little birthday party. We had lots of fun and lots of overwhelmedness :) getting ready for everything while still just getting through each day. However, it was so nice to spend time with our friends and help Juni to feel so extra special.

The last couple days all 3 of us girls have been fighting some pretty awful allergies so you'll see some puffy eyes in these pics :/

 sleeping beauties... the first couple of weeks they somehow managed to take a good nap at the same time, but since grandma Candy was here, this was the first time I got them to nap at the same time again

10 weeks!
more alert than ever
quiet babbling here and there
strong legs! tries to push-up/stand on our legs all the time
has been sleeping 7-8.5 hour stretch all but one night this past week... CRAZINESS!

9 weeks

 TWO MONTHS!!

sleeping a good 5 hour stretch at night, normally followed by a 3-4 hour stretch (bless you child, bless you)

drinking her mama's milk like a champ every 3 or so hours most days

starting to grab at her playmat toys on her own

awake more throughout the day, checking the world out a little bit at a time

stays in the bath, comfortable in the water as can be, until the water turns cold she's been in so long

and these SMILES keep getting bigger and bigger!!

 Even though Juni's birthday isn't until the 11th, we are having just a couple of people over on the 12th, so she got her big gift from her mama and papa this weekend, so her and papa would have time to put it together before her little party

 Juni woke up from nap on Saturday, hopped up on Papa's lap, and fell right back asleep, for 2 more hours! growing girl!

 "Mama, I know you are excited it is warm enough this weekend for me to wear spring clothes, but please just pick me up." ...okay, baby, okay

 9 weeks! Don't you just want to squish her?!?! :)

8 weeks

Grandma left on Tuesday and then we spent the week readjusting to one less set of hands :) Making dinner, taking showers, and going to the bathroom is so much easier when Grandma is here!

 We're in another no picture taking phase... why do these always come around her birthday time? Two carseats in the the car. Party time. :)

 (Mike and Maura own our house and are our neighbors.) Maura's father passed away so Juni and I made her a card and cupcakes to make her feel better. Juni told me what to write on the card.

 "6-8 week check-up" 10.7 pounds, 23 inches 86th percentile for height! Grow, Genevieve, grow!!

We get tired around here :)

 We took a quick walk to the post office today to get some postcard stamps and then it started to RAIN on the way home. Juni experienced her first thunder/lightning storm in California!!!

...but not to worry, Genevieve was in the carrier in this, so she was perfectly warm and dry!

 When Papa got home, it was CHILLY out and Juni wanted to play a bit while I made dinner, so we wrapped Genevieve up in her (size SIX month!!) fleece to stay warm.

8 weeks! oh my goodness! My sweet girl trying to outgrow her size 3 month clothes quicker than quick. Didn't we just get them out of the tote?!?! Juni was born so early and was so tiny, this girl is tricking us a bit. Juniper was this size when she 4 months old! Craziness. People always say every pregnancy, birth, child, etc. is different, and they weren't kidding. So different, and still so perfect, of course, just like her sister ;)
