38 weeks, Halloween, 9 months! (39 weeks)

sleepy face just woke up from her nap
sad, teething face, just wants to cuddle her mama
The weekend before Halloween the outdoor shopping center had a Halloween event. Juni got a gold butterfly tattoo on her arm :)
And a pony painted on her face!

Even at Kristina and Sean's wedding in July she was too afraid to sit in the chair and let someone paint on her, but she did great this time! She was so excited!
 Jumping in the bouncy house!
In her carseat, ready to go home, holding her bucket of candy!
She wanted to know what I used my "cooking bat" for, so I let her try with some cereal. She wanted to fill the bowl to the top :) We didn't do that ;)
Juni, in her big girl glory, asked to spend some special time with just her and Mama. Sigh. So proud of her for using her words and asking, and patiently waiting until the next day for it to happen. We had SO much fun just enjoying each other. We went to a restaurant (in case you didn't know, we never really do that, so it was very special) and we went to THREE toy stores on Park St. She then found this statue that she wanted her picture with.
This tired girl! I was talking on the phone to my mom when she was cuddling and nursing beside me and just tuckered out! I hung up the phone, stood up, and realized she was just passed out on the bed!
I ADORE this "rainbow ladder" at the park nearest our house. Juni has never been afraid to climb. She has been going down the big slides by herself since she was 1 1/2. It was a challenge for her to first reach the bottom rung, and now she prides herself each time she can get a step higher than the visit before. She was SO excited this day and we were SO proud of her!!
Sister play time in the sandbox
I still can't accept that grass is a novelty to my children.
This day I was sorting dresser drawers and all kinds of other things. I set Genevieve down at my feet and looked up a second later to find her almost around the corner!! :)
Happy rainy Halloween!! :) Genevieve ate the paper right off the sucker! :) We let her keep it for a minute or two :)
She's discovered that sometimes Juni leaves her food on her tray unattended. She liked the turkey and the pretzels!
Papa ordered this set of old McDonald's Halloween buckets from Ebay. Juni chose the bucket with a scene around it for herself and the pumpkin bucket for Genevieve.
Juicy's basket of toys is pretty much Genevieve's favorite activity. When I take a shower, when I make lunch, if she isn't fussing, I most often find her here :)
Early morning cuddles on the couch.
First time seeing herself in her costume!! I love it!!!
 Sigh. So pretty.
Sister Love. Sister shots have been somewhat difficult lately, but we still try! :)

 Sigh. So pretty! ;)

.
38 weeks! She just wanted to reach off the edge of the couch!!! This is the "clearest" shot I could get! I figured, that's a perfect shot for this week, because all she wanted to do was MOVE :)
Happy Halloween lunch!! Monster mouth apples, Oreo spiders, and Halloween cookie cutter sandwiches (pumpkin, bat, ghost).
Trick-or-treating for toddlers (on the business street near our house) was right at nap time, so we had some early evening quiet time when Juni watched a show on Papa's computer. We surprised her and gave her some "two sisters" Frozen headphones that are just her size.

We took baths, ate dinner, then put costumes on to go to Mike and Maura's (our landlord/neighbor). They of course got a whole bucket of candy just from them, so we came home and dumped it all back together into a big bag. Mike gave Juni some licorice so her and Genevieve were quick to find that in the bag and both helped themselves while I was doing something else. It was too cute to walk back in to these two, on the floor, in their costumes, with their bag of candy, both eating licorice. This is what I always wanted my life to be.
We got Juni (and Genevieve) bunk beds!! (used) Juni discovered in the first 30 minutes that she could climb up and over the end, without using the ladder on the side. She was having too much fun bouncing on the mattress to hold still for a picture.
9 month (39 weeks) Whew. That was another blink. She is now crawling by moving one knee and dragging the other knee/foot :) She has 5 teeth! The top left cut the beginning of last week. She loves to play "bonk" where you touch (not really bang) heads with her. If you say bonk, she'll lean in to touch your head and then giggle and giggle. She says "all done" and "milk" now in addition to Mama, Papa, and "night night" but of course they are more like "aw duh" and "mi" :) But, it is so fun to see her grow and learn!!
 She is just too cute!!
And so curious!

I forgot to add the pictures from my phone last time...

So, in order to not confuse myself, I'll just do a little post for them now....

A bin of Juni's toys? Don't mind if I do!
Juni found these "wish sticks" and told me all about how she wanted to play with them. I assumed it was something she had done with her Papa before, but I later learned it wasn't. She found sticks on the ground that were branched off and then would pull the branches apart and stick the part through the fence that she had pulled off. I love how her brain connected wish bones and the branches of the trees she found at the park!

As I've gone back to working a little more and started selling Jamberry products from home, I think Juni has been feeling a little of the squeeze. I was seeing this face a little too often (but often with no smile behind it ;>) So we figured out some new plans, and things have not felt quite so squeezed these past two weeks. Sweet girl. :)

37 weeks

This little babe of ours is getting close to crawling. She is reaching forward with momentum while on all fours. She rocks back and forth from sitting to up on all fours comfortably and regularly. It's only a matter of time before she'll be movin' and crusin'! She has 2 more teeth! On the top! Not the front teeth, but the ones right next to those :) Sorry, I'm not a dentist, but you know what I'm talking about. They both cut through 3 days ago. So, there's been A LOT OF CHEWING around here :) :) )

Juni has been feeling a bit anxious lately, so we've been trying to spend lots of time outside and that seems to be helping her a lot. She's been very sweet trying to help take care of her sister, and here Mama and Papa too! We made some cupcakes this week and played with some friends. She LOVES having people over to our house to play!! A friend from work came over for dinner a couple times and Juni is love with the extra people to play with.

Zach seems to be enjoying his switch back to group manager. It has allowed us more flexibility again in getting through each day, but also means there are more long days for all of us as I have started working more too. I started selling Jamberry products (finger nail designs) which has been taking a little more time than I originally thought it would. I intended on hosting 2-4 online parties per month, but this past week, I was hosting 3, so it was a little bit too much. We've still been able to eat dinner as a family nearly every single night, which gives us some sense of normalcy.

We are all getting excited for Halloween and dressing up and the excitement of the holiday season!!

 Everyone chewing on some apples!
 Genevieve chewing on a book!

37 weeks 10/20/14 chewing on a fresh baguette from Panera and she is LOVING that chewy crust!!

 ;) Lovin' IT!!

3 1/2 years

She wanted to have a tea party, with Squinkie tea! I love it!
(Squinkies are those little tiny rubber toys in the tea pot. She LOVES them.)
Such a big girl. She is entranced by Papa's Rubik's cube. She even told the pediatrician at Genevieve's check up about it. She likes that it is a puzzle because you can move the squares around different ways, but it isn't like other puzzles because you can't take the pieces apart.
Papa was getting some things out of storage and Juni spotted this costume hat :) And then she wanted to put her light-up ball inside it :) Winter (early darkness) fun!
kind-of letting me take pictures of her hair

dressed and ready for work ;)
dressed and ready for ruling ;)
She loves to bake with me, but the sprinkles are definitely her favorite part! Honestly, I don't like sprinkles, but how could I deny that face!! I let her sprinkle to her heart's desire :)

officially 3 1/2, having her first push-pop

Hello Kitty Rescue set we found at Cosco. We were supposed to be putting it away and saving it, but somebody, with her eagle eye, spotted it! :) However, she's in love. It was worth it. I told her she had to keep it in the box, but she could look at it. She took a nap with it (in the box), then carried it around all night (in the box), then I decided, why wait?!?!

She is in LOVE with balls. She takes every ball she can find and puts it in this big bag that she carries around inside to outside and back again. She'll take Juicy's balls, Genevieve's balls, balls she finds on the street, Mike and Maura's dog's balls and put them all into her bag! She begs for them at the store and loves to find new colors and textures and kinds, but light up are her absolute favorite. We recently found one at Target, that was only $1 thankfully, that was clear, with pink glitter and a light up eyeball inside!! She gets quite upset when she can't find it. You might have noticed her sleeping with it in a blog picture a week or two back.
She takes great pride in helping and in doing things by herself. She picked up the entire toy section at TJ Maxx one day and then told me, "See Mama, I cleaned up all the toys in this whole area; isn't that great?!?" I just love her. Any time she can get something out of the fridge or wash up on her own, she is so excited to do so.
She enjoys collecting acorns for the squirrels all over town and then burying them in the backyard so they can eat them when they are hungry.
She most often uses nice words to explain her feelings and needs. She says things like, "I didn't like it when you picked me up while I was playing with my toy, so next time, please ask first before you do that, ok?" .... well, OK! :) I will! When speaking with her friends she will say, "I was just trying to put the toy back in the bin where it goes. Is that okay?" when they are upset with her for putting a toy away that they wanted left out.
She adores her sister and loves to hold her, get her toys, put her toys away! (even sometimes when Genevieve is still playing with them!), and has started trying to pick her up..... yikes!
