end of summer sass, 18 months

 exhibit A
 exhibit B
 purple stripe pj time

 scooter riding pro!
hot day. time for treats in our tummies. or on the ground?
 counting, sorting, counting, sorting
She's been giving us so many expressions, I've been trying to capture some of them

 Ew! :)

She says, "Cheese!" for pictures now, but still wants to run away. Often times I can only get her to look by seeing herself on the screen.

 This is serious Dr. business

All that lemonade money paid off! Blueberry has arrived in "her" decked out tank! Before seeing on the container that the fish was indeed a male, I asked Juni what she thought it was; Girl, of course. So, Blueberry is a girl :)

 Happy Birthday, Mama!
 post water balloon fight
treats to celebrate all 32 years of Mama
 kabobs
 smores too
Pretending to sleep in the tent (in the backyard). After 2 hours I brought Genevieve inside. Ugh.
The first time Juni-O saw a June bug
pop-tart trailer handing out new fancy flavors including chocolate strawberry and cinnamon roll. She thought it was the coolest.

 Cooking? ...cooking.

 Sister Love

Our park is FINALLY open again. Picnic at the park.

Juni thinks it is so cool that Grandpa Butch knows how to fix real trains.

These friends have a garden in their yard so Genevieve was peeking through the fence cracks to check it out!

There you have it, Grandma Susie! That's our new park you wanted to see!

Real. Life. Word. Mama's crazy eyes. Exhausted Juni as she doesn't take naps anymore but it is worn out by evening time. Genevieve struggling to survive amongst the big folks. Papa so over it.

 Big girl!
Smores dip from the leftover birthday supplies
This little babe doesn't normally like to just sit and cuddle but she's been going through a roller coaster of allergy issues, etc. and is still struggling to just lie down at night. She was outlasting Mama this night, and many nights after.
Used some of Genevieve's saved money to get her a train set. She really hasn't played with many toys, since she was born, honestly, but she has really enjoyed a couple of small trains she has had so we thought she would love this, but it is just a little outside of her development. They pull apart very easily and she also has a hard time keeping them on the track, but she enjoys it and it will help her further develop her fine motor skills :)
After her fish and tank, etc. Juni still had enough money to get a zippy sack blanket thing she's been seeing on T.V. Darn commercials :)

 18 months!
Genevieve's notable days are always on Mondays, when I work, so I'll sometimes ask Zach to put her in a certain outfit for when I take her picture, or I'll change her if she's gotten dirty. This day her hair was crazy, her pants were dirty, and she was just kind of a mess. Typical for Genevieve at 18 months. Here she is in ALL her BEAUTY!!!
She's saying quite a few words, favorites including noodle, bath, hot, toes, shoes, knee, ouchie, mole, ow
She's finding more strength and balance and enjoying playing and discovering on her own. She finally had an interest in going for walks with us. Before now she would just look at what was next to her, sit down, with no motivation to walk where we were walking. By 18 months, she'd walk to the park, to the corner store, or farmers market and understand we were all walking together someplace.

This is her CHEESE! face :) I love it!!!

This is her pouty I don't want to look at the camera face! Ha!
This is her I'm still a perfect little baby face ;)
Papa ordered a bike, finally, to replace one of those we had stolen in Vallejo, and it is magical, and he LOVES it! Of course, Juni is posing with sass!

I painted Genevieve's fingers and toes for the first time! Too cute!

 Seeing herself :)

 Her annoyed with Mama look

Papa had another light coming on in his fancy car. A rat had chewed up some foam and tried to make a nest/home. Ugh. No real damage, thankfully.
 Painted baby toes.
While Juni is at yoga, Genevieve and I are having an adventure, where she doesn't want to look at the camera, shocking.

A new doggy dotted headband on her last day of yoga!
My friend Jenifer (from studying abroad in Denmark) was visiting San Francisco with her family, from Paris. Zach stayed home with the girls so I could fit them all in my car and we spent the day in Napa, then came back to our house in the evening. We planned to have dinner together, but their "clock" was so off then were ready to just go back to their hotel and go to bed!
I found the hose! I'm so happy! This is so fun!
Juni saw how fun it was to me and thought it'd be fun for her so she took it away.
Story. of. our. life. (right now)
Mama loses her patience and then we play together for 2 minutes nicely before one of us cries again.
But we try to remember how much we love each other.
Even if we don't like to look at the camera.
And we do have moments of sweet love and fun.
 More water balloon fun.
Papa makes egg sandwiches all the time. Juni made him one out of Play Doh! (Thanks, Aunt Barb)

I don't want to do what you want me to do but I'm going to tease you a little and then probably do it ornery face.
 kissy lips!
