I was waiting to post all of Juniper's 6 month pictures (from mid Oct) because we were using them for our holiday card and I wanted our card to be special, but now that everyone should have gotten their card I will post them all. A few of them are blurry because the photographer was having a problem with his lens, but it was a Groupon shoot, so I'm thankful for the good shots we did get. And, in all the excitement of the Christmas post, I forgot to mention that her first tooth finally broke through last Tuesday! She's already working on the other side, so I'm sure the second one will break through in no time.

Wow. Juni had a GREAT Christmas and Christmas Eve. She was so happy to just have family time with Mama and Papa and to get new toys. Her favorites are her sing-a-ma-jigs, a mini stuffed Juicy Louise that she can pet whenever she wants, a follow-me dog that crawls on it's own, kid-size maracas, and the modernized-traditional fit-shape-block-in-hole cube. We took a drive around last night after the sun went down to look at Christmas lights and she fell asleep in the car, which unlike most babies, Juni never does. She had a wonderFull :) day! Mama can't wait for her to wear all her new adorable clothes! She is looking at life in a whole new way. She loves to examine and twist and turn all her toys. She is getting more comfortable with eating solids but still doesn't really get excited for it like I thought she would. This past week we spent a lot of time at the outdoor mall just walking around. We had all our shopping done, but we were enjoying all of the decorations and holiday music. Even in all the craziness of their last minute shopping strangers would stop to have 10 minute conversations with her and then couldn't pull themselves away once they saw her smile. She was so sweet to each and every one of them. She loves to make new friends, especially toddler age boys and girls. We received a new camera for Christmas, so the holiday pictures were taken with it, if you can see a difference.

This week Juni took a couple of scoots forward when she was up on all fours. She continues to do well with solids, but is quite picky. With some strong encouragement she'll eat almost anything though. She loves drinking out of cups and tries to get her hands on every cup she sees. She has taken notice of the chipmunk movie and is transfixed by those little guys. I'm quite sure she'd sit through the entire movie if we would take her.

Juni is just eating up a storm. She doesn't like beets, but she'll tolerate broccoli and she likes pears. She's been creating a new schedule for herself the last couple of weeks so we are just trying to get on her track and we finally feel like we are starting to get there, slowly but surely. She loves to play with the presents under the tree, especially the ones with her name on them! She must be reading already ;) She's really figured the scooting on her tummy thing out and can move across the floor in the blink of an eye when there is something she wants. She has started talking like crazy again. She is making real word sounds and will go on and on telling us stories.
