stuffing her cheeks with pineapple marshmallows :) :) :)
she didn't want to nap on her own, but she passed out on the couch next to me :)

"Look Mama and Papa! I can touch this tree!!"
Rockin' a headband for the first time
6 months! She turned 6 months old on Sunday and cut her first tooth (bottom left) on Saturday! Friday was a rough day for all of us, but we survived, and by the time we got to Sunday we had smiles on our faces! Genevieve has really started to used more work-like noises. Her sounds are changing to more of her "voice" instead of just babble. She stands up strong in her walker toy and grabs at everything she can, to put it in her mouth, of course, especially anything we are eating or drinking. She had some spoonfuls of banana, but she wasn't loving it as much as I anticipated.
Genevieve was ASLEEP when I got home from work on Sunday!!! Just like this!

Her favorite teething rattle, although she also enjoys chewing on baby Scratch (her stuffed cat) as well as her crinkle bunny toy, her little giraffe knot blankie, Sophie the giraffe, and well, everything!
 sisters for life! ;)
I have so many more sweet pictures of my little Juni on my camera but the girl will not keep her clothes on. I get her dressed three times a day and as soon as she can rip them all off, she does. So, in order to keep her nakedness off of the internet, I don't have quite as much to show you, but I assure you, she is still being the best big sister Genevieve could ask for, and the same sweet loving Juni you all know :)
26 weeks
She seems to be sleeping a little better (for today) since that tooth popped on in. She cuddles so tight and really grabs on for a good hug when you pick her up. She actually has since she was teeny, but they're getting even more like real big hugs the older she gets. She is less relaxed in her baths now as she always wants to be sitting up, but she still seems to enjoy her time in the water.

25 weeks, Nels and family visit

I like their sitting positions in this pic! Ha! :)

 Pretend running pose
Real running pose! She has been enjoying running with us so much!!
playing with Uncle Nels at Lina's cousin's house
...while Remy and Genevieve do their own thing
 Hot pot for dinner!!

 25 weeks
Getting stronger every day! She is loving pushing up from tummy time, and sitting next to her play mat while while holding on for a little extra support. Before we know it, she won't be holding on any more! She loves her time in the double stroller while we run, just watching the world go by with a little bit of a breeze along the way. She had her first bites of sweet potato and banana off of Mama's plate this week! Not too sure about either, but processing both well!

Juni after eating a lentil soup sample at Costco out of a little paper cup. I don't know the detail you can see, but more of it ended up on her clothes and her face than in her mouth. The response from my little girl who doesn't like to to get dirty, "It's just so so yummy I don't care if I get all dirty! Can I have another one?"

Remy's hiding spot around the tree, at the park

 I scream!
 You scream!
we all scream for ice cream!
 no pictures wanted, always :)
feeding her sister little smooshed bits of sweet potato

somebody is LOVING her swimming pool!!
 my rose is blooming!!

Genevieve likes the color I picked out for her! Now, I just need to find the perfect apricot rose for Juni to plant next year!

24 weeks, Mama turns 31

 Happy Birthday, Mama!!
We went to a movie all together in the morning, and then came home for lunch. I got a pedicure while the girls napped, and then we had a yummy homemade pizza dinner together before I met a friend at a Shaman led drumming circle that night from 7-9. Genevieve was asleep when I got home, and Juni was in bed with the lights off! Go, Papa, GO!! :) Especially considering the fact that Genevieve is STILL not drinking out of a bottle despite continued attempts.

Ready to swim at our friends' pool!
Some stray toddlers being neglected by their nanny came up and were talking with Juni. The girl was trying to hold Juni's hand and Juni firmly told her not to touch her. The girl came to me to talk about it, and I sent her back to Juni. I'm so proud of her for setting clear boundaries and using her words to appropriately discuss it. So, so proud. And her vocabulary has been growing to correctly include words like amazing, incredibly, actually, evidently, disappointing, interesting.....and the list just grows and grows!
 Genevieve too!
I was nervous about having both girls in the water without Zach to help, but this pool club has a saline filed 3 ft pool with big stairs going down into it, so Juni could play around and I could easily keep them both safe. It was great for all of us and nice to spend fun time with friends too.
Juni is ready for some California artichokes! She's been making some pretty great requests for dinner lately.
Juni kindly gave Juicy a pillow for her nap :)
 sleepy nugget
big girl, filling up her co-sleeper
the girls enjoying the carpet scrap :) I always thought I would love wood floors, but I will never feel that way again.
 24 weeks
Getting close to sitting up on her own. She can hold it for a few seconds and then falls over to the side. She is SO ready for FOOD! She is grabbing at our plates and our bites trying to put it in her mouth. She's been licking my apples and gets so mad when I take it away from her. Less than 2 weeks until she is SIX months old, so I'll prep some puree over the next couple of weeks to start giving her and she how she does. Juni had no interest in puree, but I think this girl might be different!
So sweet, sitting on Mama's lap :)
Zach always comments on how expressive she is with her eyebrows. I can't believe how high they are in this pic!
